Navigating Updated Tickets in KorTerra Field
In version 1.14.19, KorTerra Field introduced an update ticket navigation feature that allows users to quickly open and review previous tickets in an update chain directly from the "Update Of" field. Click the link below to see a demonstration of this feature in action:

In KorTerra Field version 1.14.19, tapping the "Update Of" field will immediately open the predecessor ticket. This feature enables users to move backward through a ticket's update chain without needing to perform a Completed Tickets Search. Users can continue tapping through prior updates to trace the full history of a locate from earlier tickets.
Behavior Based on Mobile Assignment
Tickets Within the Technician’s Mobile
When all tickets in the update chain belong to the technician’s assigned mobile, they open as standard editable tickets. Users can interact with and update the ticket as needed, and navigation through the chain remains seamless.
Tickets Outside the Technician’s Mobile
If a ticket in the update chain falls outside the technician’s mobile assignment, it will open in read-only mode. In this state:
A read-only banner appears at the top of the screen to indicate the ticket cannot be edited.
The "Add Completions" and "Add Attachments" actions are disabled.
[!IMPORTANT]
This restriction ensures users cannot modify tickets outside their assigned scope, preserving data integrity and enforcing security permissions.
Updated Tickets That Remain Active
Some KorTerra Field configurations allow updated tickets to stay in an active status. In these cases, if the active predecessor ticket is part of the technician’s mobile, tapping the "Update Of" field will redirect the user to that active version.
[!NOTE]
Redirect behavior only applies when the active ticket is still part of the technician’s mobile.
This ensures that technicians always access the live, actionable version of the ticket when appropriate.
