What is Dig Site Size?
Dig Site Size is the calculated area of the Dig Site on a ticket, always measured in square feet. The Dig Site is defined as the polygons associated with a ticket. If polygons are unavailable, the calculation defaults to the dig box. Tickets with only a centroid will not have a Dig Site Size. Users can easily tell which shapes are being calculated by the “Size Type” which will either display “Polygon” or “Dig Box”.

FAQs
1. Why does the Dig Site Size show “N/A”?
When Dig Site Size is first enabled for your account, you and your users may have to log out and log back in to see the sizes display correctly. If you do not, you may not see them at all, or may see “N/A”.
It is important to note that you will need to log in by first going to korterra.net and not your homepage URL. If you log in by going straight to your homepage url (example: [customername].korterra.net/home) you may only see “N/A” on all tickets.
Other reasons you may be seeing “N/A”
If the ticket only has a centroid, then the size will be “N/A”.
Only tickets transmitted after the Dig Site Size feature was configured will display size data. Tickets created before configuration will show "N/A."

2. What is the difference between Polygon and Dig Box Size Types?
Polygon: The calculation is based on the sum of the areas of polygons on a ticket.
Dig Box: The calculation is based on the dig box area because no polygons were available.
3. How does the system decide which Size Type to use?
Polygons Available: The system will always use the polygons if they are available for greater accuracy.
Dig Box: If there are no polygons, the system will default to use the dig box.
Centroid Only: No size is calculated, and the field will show "N/A."
