Update: 1.13.0
KorTerra Field’s background sync allows you to continue working on tickets while data is being uploaded in the background. In addition, the background syncing allows you to work offline, and queue completed items for future syncing once the device regain connectivity.
To view the sync status, select the Sync icon in the upper right-hand corner of KorTerra Field’s main header menu. A sync menu pop-up will appear. If the icon has a red badge with a number, items are pending sync.
The Sync Status pop-up will display the following:
- Reset Tickets
- Attachments
- Last Sync Status
- Last Sync Attempt
- Last Successful Sync
- Complete Status
- Ticket Sort Status
- Notes Status
- Contact Status
- Attachment Upload Status
- Time Entry Status (if licensed)
Syncing will automatically take place on the interval that is selected in the Preferences section of KorTerra Field. If, however, you would like to sync immediately:
- Select the Sync icon in the upper right-hand corner of KorTerra Field’s main header menu.
- Next, click the Sync icon upper righthand corner of the pop-up. The sync process will be initiated. Once completed, the Last Successful Sync field will be updated.
Resetting Tickets
Occasionally, your ticket list might not sync correctly. For example, a completed ticket may continue to appear as an active ticket, or a ticket you are expecting may not appear on your list.
You can use the Reset Ticket button to resync your entire ticket list.
Sync Failures
Occasionally, an item will fail during the sync process. After several failed sync attempts, the sync status pop-up will display an option the clear the failed item(s). Click Clear to restore the sync process and allow it to proceed.
Sync failure includes notifications for partial sync failures. Partial sync failures occur when one or more items did not sync successfully, but the rest did.
